Tom Carter- Founder and CEO
Tom Carter founded SportsMD and GolfersMD.com to bring together three
passions in his life- sports, health and helping others. An avid golfer
with a 5 handicap and a former collegiate All-American athlete, Tom
recognized a need in the health and sports industry to create a
web-portal committed to improving the health and performance of
athletes and golfers around the world.
In the true spirit of an entrepreneur, Carter became dedicated to
making his vision of establishing SportsMD and GolfersMD.com a reality.
Using his own capital to fund the launch of SportsMD, while holding
down a day job, Carter worked countless nights, weekends and holidays
to get SportsMD off the ground. Tom has brought a long and successful
business background with 20 years experience as a leader, building and
managing high achieving teams in the exploding industry of network
wireless for Alcatel-Lucent.
Carter received his Bachelors from West Chester University and
resides in Easton, CT with his wife of twelve years, Letitia and their
three sons, Thomas 9, William 7, and Ben 4.
